The short version: We collect only the data needed to provide NurtureAI's features. We never sell your data. You own your data and can export or delete it anytime.
1. Who we are
NurtureAI ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Geez Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the NurtureAI mobile application and related services.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Name, email address, password, profile photo, country, and language preference.
- Pregnancy data: Due date, weight, blood pressure, symptoms, mood, contractions, and kick counts.
- Child data: Name, date of birth, gender, blood type, growth measurements, feeding logs, sleep logs, diaper logs, milestones, vaccinations, and medical history.
- Health data: Temperature, allergies, medications, doctor visit notes, and EPDS mental health screening responses.
- Photos: Profile pictures, milestone photos, and health photos you choose to upload.
- Community content: Posts, comments, and reactions you create in the community.
- AI conversations: Messages you send to our AI parenting assistant.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Features you use, screens viewed, and interaction patterns (anonymized).
- Crash and performance data: Error reports to help us fix bugs.
- Push notification tokens: To deliver reminders and notifications.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and personalize app features (tracking, AI chat, content recommendations)
- To send notifications and reminders you've enabled
- To generate AI insights and personalized parenting guidance
- To enable family sharing with people you invite
- To process subscriptions and in-app purchases
- To improve the app, fix bugs, and develop new features

4. AI processing
When you use our AI features (chat, photo analysis, daily insights), your data is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. We do not allow our AI providers to use your data for training their models. AI conversations are stored in your account so the AI can remember context across sessions.
5. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these limited situations:
- Service providers: Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and hosting; Gemini AI for chat features; Apple/Google for in-app purchases.
- Family members you invite: When you share access to your pregnancy or child tracking with a partner or family member.
- Community posts: Content you publish to the community is visible to other users (you can post anonymously).
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encryption at rest for stored data
- Firebase Authentication for secure account access
- Strict access controls and audit logging
While we work hard to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and don't share your account credentials.
7. Your rights and choices
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view it anytime in the app
- Export your data — download as JSON, CSV, or PDF from Settings → Data Export
- Correct your data — edit your profile and tracking information
- Delete your account and all associated data — Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Withdraw consent — disable notifications, sharing, or specific features
- Object to certain processing activities

8. Children's privacy
NurtureAI is intended for parents and caregivers (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The child information you enter (name, birthdate, growth data) is provided by you, the parent or guardian, and is treated as your data.
9. Data retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required by law to retain certain records (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We use safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data in international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
